Board trustee Donald D. Dantzler Jr. takes on national role supporting community colleges
Donald D. Dantzler Jr., vice chair of the Madison College District Board of Trustees, has been elected as an at-large member of the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) Board of Directors.
This prestigious appointment reflects Dantzler's commitment to advancing community college education and serving students across the nation.
"I am honored to be elected to the ACCT Board of Directors," Dantzler said. "This role provides an incredible opportunity to collaborate with fellow trustees and leaders from community colleges across the country. Together, we can address the challenges facing our institutions and advocate for the resources necessary to support our students and communities."
The ACCT is a national organization that represents the interests of community college governing boards. Its mission is to enhance the effectiveness of community college trustees and to promote the value of community colleges in the higher education landscape.

Dantzler will serve a one-year term on the ACCT Board of Directors, working alongside other board members to advocate for policies that support community colleges and their students.
Since joining the Madison College District Board of Trustees in 2022, Dantzler has been a passionate advocate for accessible and equitable education. His leadership and vision have been instrumental in shaping policies that enhance student success and community engagement. Dantzler also recently guided Madison College through a national search for its new president. As vice chair, he continues to work tirelessly to ensure that Madison College remains a vital resource for higher education and workforce development opportunities.
