The School of Academic Advancement offers tuition-free classes and support services to help Madison College students and community members develop the skills needed to transition to a college certificate or degree program.

No matter what obstacles you’ve faced in your education, we’re here to help and support you.

Classes and Services We Offer

Classes are offered in-person and online, in the morning, afternoon or evening.

English as a Second Language (ESL)

Whether you speak little or no English, Madison College offers English language classes at all levels, from beginning to advanced.

High School Equivalency (GED/HSED)

Whether you plan to get a job, go to college or accomplish a life goal, Madison College helps people of all ages and backgrounds prepare for and earn their High School Credential (GED or HSED).

Developmental Education (Sector)

The School of Academic Advancement offers free coursework that will help you prepare for your future program courses in your field of study. If you need additional support with your foundational reading, writing and math skills, we offer the prerequisite courses that will allow you to successfully transition into your program coursework.
