Spaces and Places Designed for Your Success
More than classrooms. More than labs. More than offices and cafeterias.
Madison College’s Truax Campus has spaces for learning and lounging. Spaces for connection and reflection. Spaces for recreation and spaces for creation.
Students, and the greater community, have access to so much more than classrooms and lab space. (Though we have both of those as well!)
The heart of campus is our Truax main building which features:
62,000 square feet dedicated to automated manufacturing. Here, you'll get hands-on training on our 3D printers, C-N-C simulations, laser measuring machining devices, and more. Take a look inside:
Library and Student Achievement Center
More than just books, the Madison College Library offers tech support, tutoring at our Student Achievement Center and quiet spaces for study. The library is open to currently enrolled students and staff.
Fitness Center/Redsten Gym
Our fitness center, open to students and staff, features cardio machines, weight machines, free weights and racquetball courts. The Redsten Gym has three basketball courts and bleacher seating for up to 1,200 spectators. To reserve or rent the gym, contact Campus Scheduling & Event Services.
Truax campus facilities outside of the main building include:
The Health Education and Information Technology Building
The Health Building houses simulated home and clinical care environments, optical and radiography labs, a fully functioning trauma room, and dental center all used in various Health Sciences classes
The student health clinic, staffed by Group Health Cooperative, is also located in the Health Education and Information Technology Building.
Protective Services Center
The Protective Service Center features crime scenario rooms, turnout gear, ambulance bays, and a burn tower for future first responders in our Criminal Justice and Fire Protection Technician programs.
Irwin A. & Robert D. Goodman Sports Complex
The Goodman Spots Complex is made up of the competition fields for the men’s and women’s soccer teams and softball team. The fields also host many community and youth sporting events each year.
The complex was fully renovated in 206-2017 thanks to a generous gift from Irwin and Robert Goodman.
The soccer pitch has a seating capacity of 800 while the softball diamond can seat 500.
For information about reserving the fields, contact Campus Scheduling & Event Services.
