
Madison College's Career Discovery youth camps offer fun, interactive educational experiences for children in grades 5-12. Our camps are designed to enhance your child's knowledge and personal growth with exciting hands-on classes, labs and experiences customized for youth.
- 3-day camps run Tuesday – Thursday
- 5-day camps run Monday – Friday
- Enrollment based on current grade level
- Breakfast snack and lunch provided
- Some camps have off-site field trips
- $75/student per session, unless otherwise noted
- Scholarships may be available for students eligible for free/reduced lunch

Learn how to make delicious baked items from scratch. You will learn how to take base recipes and change them into many different varieties. Kids Sewing Camp | Grade 4-9 | $75

Everything your child needs to feel confident on a sewing machine and ready to take on more projects.This kids intro to sewing camp will cover all of the fundamentals that will introduce your child to the basics of sewing and build their sewing skills.This is great for beginners who want an in-depth introduction to sewing and the confidence to take on more projects.
What You'll Learn: Common sewing terminology, patterns and the information they contain, basic operation, parts, and functionality of a sewing machine, fabric grain lines and direction, seam allowance, straight stitching, seam matching, sewing circles using a free arm and alternate techniques for sewing cylinders, introduced to interfacing, and pattern matching.

Technical Theater for High School Students | Grades 9-12 | $125

Engineering in a Box | Grades 5-9 | $75

Explore how the digital worlds of mechanical and electrical engineering collide to produce many of the products we see today. In this camp you will build your own machine while learning design, programming, and electrical skills. 3D print your device and customize it with laser engraving. No experience needed, but imagination is encouraged.

Are you interested in a career in healthcare? Come to Madison College to experience a day in the life of several health occupations! The occupations include Nursing, Emergency Medical Technician, Respiratory Therapy, Dental Assisting, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Radiology Technician, Optometric Technician. In this week long camp, you will participate in hands-on activities that simulate real life experiences in a healthcare setting.

NEW! Local manufacturers have created a three-day immersive World of Mini Manufacturing youth camp . This camp will offer a hands-on experience of all the different departments that help create, assemble, and distribute products. This simulation will take students through real world scenarios and create a better understanding of all the exciting career opportunities within manufacturing. Students will work directly with professionals in the areas of Accounting, Sales & Marketing, HR, Purchasing, Quality, Safety, Maintenance, Warehouse, Operations, Engineering and IT. An optional 4th day will include tours of local manufacturing companies.

Explore Madison College Science classes!
- Chemistry – Students will participate in safe, hands-on laboratory activities designed to explore how chemistry is related to the world around us. Anatomy and Physiology: Students will explore the anatomical structures and physiological functions of the heart and brain. Students will dissect sheep brains and pig hearts to investigate the internal anatomy of each organ. They will carry out pinning exercises to master the major structures of both organs and learn about general functions of the lobes of the brain and the chambers of the heart. Microbiology - Students will learn about microbes and participate in hands on activities with safe bacterial species. They will stain and observe bacteria using a microscope, identify characteristics of bacteria, transfer bacteria from broth to agar plates, and do an experiment to understand the effectiveness of antibiotics. Please bring your own lunch.
Intro to Nursing Camp | Grade 8-11 | $25

Designed for students in grades 8th- 11th, our 1-day summer camp provides hands-on experience in our state-of-the-art nursing lab. Participants will work directly with our instructors for a fun and educational introduction to nursing, including a real-life simulated emergency. A camp t-shirt will also be provided. Designed for students in grades 3-6 and their parents, this 90 minute morning session will briefly explore careers in emergency services including EMT/Paramedic, fire protection, and law enforcement. Participants will get to talk with local professionals in each of these fields and see field demonstrations from each profession.

Designed for students in grades 8th- 11th, our 3-day summer camp provides hands-on experience in our brand new state-of-the-art nursing labs. Participants will work directly with our instructors for a fun and educational exploration of careers in nursing, including real-life simulated emergencies.
