Celebrate a Nurse 5K set for May 3 at Reedsburg campus

Nurses make a difference, touching our lives with expert care and unwavering compassion. Madison College-Reedsburg, recognized for its top-notch nursing training, is hosting the annual Celebrate a Nurse 5K and 1-mile walk/run on Saturday, May 3, to support men and women in this essential public health profession. 

Proceeds from the run will help fund students’ nursing training at the Madison College Reedsburg campus. The event kicks off National Nurses Week, May 6-12. 

Individuals and groups are encouraged to sign up. Participants will get a commemorative T-shirt and post-race snacks.  The first three runners to finish the 5K in each age group (male and female) will receive awards. The most creative team costume will receive an award. Family, children, dogs, strollers and wheelchairs are all welcome and race accessible. 

New this year—a virtual 5K option allows those unable to attend in person to join the fun! Submit your 5K time and see how you measure up against the competitors who run the course live. While virtual participants will receive a T-shirt for their efforts, awards will be limited to those who join us in person. 

Celebrate a Nurse draws a large crowd, including Madison College Reedsburg nursing students, alums and community members. Launched in 2022 with overwhelming support from the Reedsburg community, with a scholarship given out each semester to a nursing student.
