Coronavirus pandemic increasing need for nurses

The nation was already dealing with a nursing shortage when COVID-19 hit earlier this year. The pandemic has made the need for health care workers even more crucial.  

Ernise Watson, interim dean of Madison College's School of Nursing, recently talked to Channel 47 about what the college is doing to help decrease the nursing shortage and how the coronavirus is disrupting those efforts.

Watson says before nursing students can fight COVID-19, they must have access to clinical sites to complete their training.
