Search | Menu Inaugural THRIVE Conference focuses on inclusive higher education initiatives, submit proposals by Feb. 10
Madison College is leading an initiative to foster growth, resilience and inclusivity in higher education with the THRIVE Conference on Friday, March 28, at the Truax Campus.
The conference invites attendees to engage with the theme “Empowering Education to Grow, Develop, and Succeed,” aiming to create supportive environments that uplift academic community members, particularly those from underrepresented groups.
Educators, administrators, students and advocates are encouraged to share their expertise by submitting presenter/speaker proposals by Feb. 10, 2025. Key focus areas include retention and success initiatives, navigational strategies for minoritized communities, practices for fostering belonging and well-being, and empowering diverse voices.

The THRIVE Conference is sponsored by the Office of Community Impact and the Institute for Equity and Transformation Change (IETC) at Madison College. There is no registration fee for the conference.
Madison College is distinctive among technical colleges for its dedication to promoting equity-based practices within the institution and the larger higher education community. The college’s Institute for Equity and Transformational Change (IETC) supports research projects that critically examine classroom dynamics and broader interactions to identify areas for improvement and devise equitable solutions.
