Madison College Fort Atkinson's Metal Mania moves to Oct. 9

Metal fabrication and welding play a vital role in shaping our world, showcasing the skill and dedication of artisans who leave lasting impressions through their craftsmanship and unwavering commitment.

Madison College’s Fort Atkinson campus, featuring its state-of-the-art welding and metal fabrication space, will host the annual Metal Mania event on Oct. 9. This event highlights the Fort Atkinson Metal Fabrication with Welding Bolt-On program, where students can earn two degrees in just one year.

The event’s move from May 9 to Oct. 9 allows for greater participation from students and businesses and takes advantage of Wisconsin's beautiful fall weather for outdoor displays.

Metal Mania features an exciting Metal Fabrication and Welding competition. Teams are made up of high school students, Madison College students, and community members from all over Jefferson County.

In collaboration with workforce development, this powerful event introduces attendees to metal fabrication and welding careers while providing networking opportunities with potential employers.

Visitors can enjoy live demonstrations of laser cutting, welding, and blacksmithing throughout the day. There will be activities for all ages, including meeting Madison College mascot Wolfie, engaging in games, and savoring delicious food. Last year’s event attracted over 300 attendees.

Metal Mania is an essential undertaking for the Madison College Fort Atkinson campus community, and we expect the 2025 event to be bigger and better than ever.

We look forward to working with our community partners and sharing more event and registration details in early fall.
