Madison College honors Juneteenth Day with community parade

Madison College is partnering with community organizations to honor Juneteenth Day with a parade on Saturday, June 21.

This annual celebration uplifts the legacy of Juneteenth through community, culture, and reflection. Joining the Juneteenth parade is a powerful way to honor the history and resilience of Black communities while celebrating freedom, progress, and unity. It’s a chance to stand shoulder to shoulder with neighbors, friends, and change-makers in a joyful expression of culture, pride, and hope.

“By participating, you help bring history to life and show that the fight for justice and equity is still alive and strong,” says Madison College Community Impact Manager Dr. Jimmy Cheffen. “Whether you're part of an organization, a family, or showing up as yourself, your presence sends a message: we remember, we celebrate, and we keep moving forward.”
