Community members enjoy the 2019 pow wow celebration

Education, community and culture will be the focus at this weekend's Annual Spring Pow Pow, taking place Saturday, April 22, at the Redsten Gym located on the Madison College's Truax campus.

The pow wow will include dance, music, art, food, a silent auction and more. Any student, staff, faculty, or community member is welcome to attend. Admission to the event is free.

More than 20 vendors will be selling traditional crafts and apparel starting at 11 a.m. There will be a grand entry featuring dancers and drummers taking place at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Attendees can support the Native American Student Association (NASA) by visiting its taco stand from 11am-3pm.

This community event has been a longstanding tradition at Madison College, hosted by the Office of Equity, Inclusion and Community Engagement, the Intercultural Exchange, and the Native American Student Association (NASA).
