It started as a class project called "Bags of Hope" to help area foster children. But Madison College Project Management students were pleasantly surprised at all the donations they received.

"We didn't think it would be so good with COVID going on and businesses restricting going in and out, but it has been tremendous. It's amazing," student Megan Crary told Channel 27 News.

With donations of toiletries, backpacks, blankets and other items pouring in, students contacted Briarpatch Youth Services in Madison for help in collecting and giving out the bags.
