• eCourt Complex

    The eCourt is a three-room complex that includes an electronic courtroom, jury deliberation room and office/library.

    The eCourt Complex serves:

    • Madison College students from more than 21 college programs.
    • Community constituents including veterans, families and seniors, all of whom may benefit from the legal outreach provided by the eCourt and its partners. 
    • Legal professionals who need continuing legal education programs or trainings.

    Rent the eCourt Complex to prepare for or hold hearings, mediations and trials.

  • Learning Opportunities

    The Madison College paralegal program, along with community partners, presents a series of hands-on professional development opportunities. These legal education programs focus on technology use in the law office. Each session is designed to help make life easier by leveraging technology in easy, meaningful ways.

    Legal education sessions listed below are $15 per person/per session unless noted otherwise. Payment is made by cash or check at the event. Checks should be made payable to Madison College.

    Ready Set Retirement! Free Workshop

    The Madison College Paralegal Program, along with community partners, presents Ready, Set, Retirement! This free event offers workshops and resources for making key decisions before and after you retire.

    Legal Clinic

    Learn more about Madison College's Legal Clinic. Attorneys are taking appointments by phone and WebEx. 

    Estate Planning Clinic

    Dane County Basic Estate Planning Clinic is a program to help low-income individuals prepare basic estate planning documents.  

    Program participants will fill out a questionnaire in advance and then meet with a volunteer attorney and paralegal who will help them draft a basic will, power of attorney for finances or power of attorney for health care.

    The program is not designed for people with large or complicated estates; beneficiaries with special needs; beneficiaries who are unable to handle their own finances; people who want to set up or require sophisticated trusts, Medicaid, tax or business succession planning.  Each appointment is approximately 1.5 hours.

    Check income requirements for eligibility:

    • Household size of 1 person with a maximum annual income of $37,470
    • Household size of 2 persons with a maximum annual income of $50,730
    • Household size of 3 persons with a maximum annual income of $63,990
    • Household size of 4 persons with a maximum annual income of $75,300
