How to Get Started

Getting started on earning your GED or HSED takes just three steps:

  1. Create a New Student Account to get a student ID number
     
  2. Take a test (called the “TABE Assessment”) to assess your reading skills
     
  3. Schedule an appointment with an advisor to:
    • Create GED.com account (if needed)
    • Review GED/HSED options in Wisconsin
    • Complete career assessment
    • Complete an academic plan
    • Register for classes (if needed)
    • Learn about Madison College resources to help you succeed
    • Complete testing orientation (if needed)
