Graduation is an exciting and emotional time for students. That's especially true for GED/HSED grads. Many have had to overcome major obstacles before receiving their diploma.
That's the case for 67-year-old Charles Satterfield, who has battled addiction issues and has been so busy taking care of his family, he put his goals and dreams on the back burner. That is, until now.
Charles was one of nearly 250 Madison College graduates who recently received their GED/HSED at Madison College. He hopes to continue his education at Madison College with a degree in information technology.
Charles' story was recently featured on Channel 3, Channel 15 and Channel 27.
