Madison College athletes shine on and off the field

Madison College Athletics enjoyed a remarkable 2025 calendar year and is currently on pace to post one of its best years in school history.
Three teams reached their respective national tournaments:
- Baseball, breaking its own NJCAA record with a seventh consecutive appearance at the NJCAA Division II World Series
- Women’s volleyball, earning an automatic berth to the NJCAA Division II Women’s Volleyball Championships for the first time in school history at the Division II level
- Men’s soccer breaking through with its first NJCAA Region 4 championship and debut appearance in a NJCAA Men’s Soccer Championship

Three WolfPack student-athletes were named NJCAA All-Americans following the fall 2025 season, led by first-team honors for women’s volleyball freshman setter Allie Andrews. Sophomores JJ Espinosa, a defender, and Rodrigo Lasso, a midfielder, both received second-team accolades in men’s soccer. Andrews also took home Region 4 Player of the Year honors, while Espinosa was named United Soccer Coaches Junior College Division II Men’s All-American. Coaches Mallory Stone (women’s volleyball) and Logan Fye (men’s soccer) were both named Region 4 Coach of the Year, as was Mike Davenport (baseball) during the spring 2025 season.

The men’s basketball program broke into the national rankings during the 2024-25 season for the first time in over a decade and reached the Region 4 semifinals. They are currently 11-1 and ranked #13 in the NJCAA Division II Poll entering the second half of the 2025-26 season. Meanwhile, the women’s basketball team is on their heels with a 10-2 record.

Madison College athletes’ accomplishments weren’t confined to the field. They excelled in the classroom as well.
Four teams (baseball, softball, women’s soccer, and women’s volleyball) earned NJCAA Academic Teams of the Year, 41 student-athletes received NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete Awards (seven of which were first team recipients with perfect 4.00 GPAs), 13 student-athletes were named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District (one of which also earned First Team CSC Academic All-American), and 106 student-athletes were recognized as Academic All-Region 4.
After the 2024-25 athletic seasons, 22 players signed National Letters of Intent to continue their athletic careers at the NCAA or NAIA levels.
By many metrics, WolfPack athletes are making a name for themselves.
