The wait is over.

Madison College and Edgewood College have been working since before the pandemic to craft a unique, direct path for associate degree nursing students to complete an advanced degree in nursing.

On Tuesday, (Nov. 8, 2022) the two schools finally signed a transfer agreement that provides a seamless, local progression option for Madison College students to not only pursue their Bachelor's in Nursing, but also move directly into a Master’s in Nursing degree.

"This historic pathway meets the increasing demand for nurses, while providing an opportunity to prepare future nursing educators," said Dr. Jack Daniels, president of Madison College. "The partnership with Edgewood College continues to grow and expand opportunities for our students."

The articulation agreement guarantees transfer for Madison College associate degree nursing graduates with a minimum GPA of 2.5 within 5 years of graduation.

“It’s an honor to deepen this important partnership with Madison College, especially in such a critical field,” said Dr. Andrew Manion, president of Edgewood College. “Our continued public-private agreements benefit not only our students, but contribute significantly to our communities in Greater Madison, and across our region.”
