The national competition featured 14 teams from Wisconsin, Montana, Iowa, Minnesota, and Washington. Teams tackled seven diagnostic stations featuring various John Deere and Bobcat machinery. Participants had 20 minutes to diagnose the issues and respond to questions on how to fix the equipment. The stations focused on electrical, hydraulic, electronic, and machine setup diagnostics. Students also completed a 150-question written test, precision measuring tasks, and parts identification.

The PAS program offers students the chance to participate in employment experience programs, hands-on skill development, and organizational activities.

“The National PAS Competition is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that incoming students look forward to each year,” said Madison College Agricultural Equipment Program Director Nick Lindloff.
