Madison College Goodman South students and innovative programming were the focus of Wisconsin Technical College Systems’ “Tour of Excellence” on April 1.

WTCS President Dr. Morna Foy stepped into the Madison College Nursing Assistant Program classroom to talk with students. She also took part in a classroom hands-on activity to teach students about physical and sensory changes of older patients.

“I enjoyed my tour of the Goodman South campus,” Foy said. “It was awesome to meet the students in the Camino's CNA program. The dedication they have to enhancing their lives and those of their future patients is commendable. I appreciate the hospitality shown to me by Dr. Daniels and his team who welcomed me to experience some of the cool things happening at Madison College.”

Nursing Assistant students gain work-ready skills and find jobs at hospitals, nursing homes and other facilities when they graduate.

The Tour of Excellence recognizes and celebrates Wisconsin’s technical college students, staff, instructors, alumni and business partners who connect each college to their communities.

Foy’s "Tour of Excellence" of 16 Wisconsin Technical Colleges will wrap up this spring.
