Madison College’s District Board shares presidential search update
The Madison College District Board continues the search process for its next president, recently launching a presidential search web page and releasing the college’s final presidential profile.
"We have launched a comprehensive national search for a new leader who will guide us toward continued excellence and growth in providing higher education for our students, and strengthening our community and workforce partnerships," said Madison College District Board Chair Donald D. Dantzler, Jr.
The nationwide search, led by firm Gold Hill Associates, gathered extensive input and feedback from students, employees, and the community, hosting ten listening sessions throughout the district. A search committee of students, faculty and staff were named this month.
Final candidates will visit the college this fall and participate in forums with employees, students, and the community. The board is expected to vote and appoint Madison College’s next president this upcoming December.
Madison College President Jack E. Daniels, scheduled to retire in June 2024, extended his role through mid-January 2025, to allow for the leadership transition.
