Madison College students pursuing careers in the fitness, recreation, and wellness industry can find new opportunities with the UW-Whitewater partnership.

"This partnership is a testament to the dedication of both institutions to provide effective and efficient educational pathways in this very important career field,” said Madison College Provost Beth Giles. “As we navigate the changing landscape of education, it is essential that we support students who aspire to impact the health and wellness sector positively.”

Eligible students must apply to UW-Whitewater, submit all required documents, and earn an applied associate degree in Fitness, Recreation & Wellness Management from Madison College with a cumulative GPA of 2.25 or higher (based on a 4.0 scale). Successful applicants must declare their major or minor during admission or upon transfer.

This articulation agreement streamlines the transfer process for students and strengthens the Madison College and UW-Whitewater partnership, ensuring a seamless transition for future educators and professionals in the field.

The two institutions also collaborate on transfer opportunities for students in early childhood education, human services, IT, paralegal studies, and liberal arts.
