Madison College students win national agricultural equipment technology championship
Four Madison College Agricultural Equipment Technology students captured top honors at the Professional Agricultural Students (PAS) National Conference, held March 9–12, 2026, in Branson, Missouri.
Eldon Baerwolf and Lucas Taylor won first-place honors in the team competition, earning a national championship title, while Wyatt King and Spencer Peterson placed second overall in the team division.
Individually, Baerwolf finished first overall, Taylor placed third, King fourth, and Peterson fifth—meaning all four Madison College competitors ranked in the top five nationally.
Competing against 13 teams from leading programs nationwide, the students demonstrated advanced technical knowledge, problem-solving skills and hands-on expertise in agricultural equipment and technology.
“This achievement reflects the hard work and commitment of our students, as well as the quality of instruction and industry partnerships that define our program,” said Nick Lindloff, Agricultural Equipment Technology Instructor at Madison College. “We are incredibly proud to see our students succeed on a national stage.”
The PAS Agricultural Equipment Technology competition challenges participants in diagnostics, equipment set-up, precision agriculture and technical troubleshooting.
Madison College’s Agricultural Equipment Technology program focuses on hands-on training with modern equipment and emerging technologies used in the field. Students gain practical experience that prepares them for careers in equipment service, dealership operations and precision agriculture, all of which are critical to supporting today’s farming operations.
