Supporting students as they complete degrees, transfer to universities, or earn career-focused credentials is the foundation of Madison College’s Vision 2030 strategy.

Madison College President Dr. Jennifer Berne says prioritizing completion underscores that access alone is insufficient; students need clearly defined pathways to success.

Starting in 2026, Madison College will share progress through key metrics specifically linked to student completion. These metrics will highlight how effectively the college enables students to earn associate degrees, transfer with 60 credits, and obtain credentials for high-demand careers.
By focusing on these outcomes, the college demonstrates accountability to students, families and the community while continually enhancing programs and supports.

Measuring progress, finding improvements

To support this, Madison College is introducing the ACE Scorecard (Assessing College Effectiveness), a tool to track progress, set goals, and find improvement opportunities.

The scorecard will combine data with real student stories to highlight how changes in programs and services affect students’ experiences and outcomes. Progress will be shared regularly, ensuring transparency and accountability as the college works toward its Vision 2030 goals.

While data is essential, college leaders emphasize that people drive this work. Each metric represents a student striving for a better future and employees dedicated to their success.

The next phase of Vision 2030 will continue to emphasize these stories, demonstrating how focused efforts on completion open opportunities for students and strengthen communities served by Madison College.
