Melanie Lichtfeld is a resident of Columbus and serves a member at large on the District Board of trustees, first appointed in July 2019. She previously owned Lichtfeld Plumbing, where she was a fourth-generation plumber, operating the business that was started by her great-great-grandfather in 1895. She is the recipient of the Trailblazer award, which recognizes women in business in Wisconsin. She also received the Torchbearer award, which recognizes business in Wisconsin that have been family-owned for three or more generations. Brava Magazine also designated her as a “Woman to Watch.”
