Madison College student Shane Funmaker is excited to attend the ceremony and receive his diploma.
"It's important to me to be a role model for my nieces and nephews," says Funmaker, a University Transfer social science student who plans to attend law school, focusing on Indigenous policy and law.

Ruiqi Zeng looks forward to sharing her success with friends at the May 16 commencement.
"Attending the graduation ceremony is important to me because I have worked hard to get to this point, and I want to celebrate my achievements with the people who have supported me along the way," Zeng says.
After graduation, Zeng plans to work as a nursing assistant for a year, then transfer to a four-year university to finish her biology degree and pursue her goal of becoming a physician assistant.
This May, over 2,100 students will earn well-deserved diplomas and degrees. The top programs with the most graduates are nursing, university transfer, and emergency medical technicians. Madison College spring 2025 graduates range from teens to adults in their fifties and sixties, but the highest percentage is from 18 to 29.
