Madison College students revved up about diesel engine donation

Students in the college's Diesel Technology and Diesel and Heavy Equipment Technician programs can't wait to start working on their new A26 engine.

The powerful motor - which can produce up to 500 horsepower and 1,750 pounds/feet of torque - was a gift from Navistar and Lakeside International Trucks.

"This donation will help train our students in advanced electronic control system and engine emission aftertreatment troubleshooting and repair," said Diesel Technology instructor Tom Wozniak.
