Students achieve success with strong academic programs and transfer pathways

Students confidentially chose Madison College to find success in their higher education goals and beyond.
One of Madison College's Vision 2020 strategic commitments is to empower our students' social and economic mobility by providing exceptional, flexible academic programs that lead to rewarding careers and seamless transfer opportunities.
Wilfried Tapsoba, an international student from Burkina Faso, West Africa, enrolled in Madison College as an engineering pre-major. At the Truax campus, Wilfred found a comprehensive, affordable, and supportive approach to achieving his higher education goals and thrived as Student Senate President, STEM Ambassador, and Peer Tutor.
Data shows that students who pursue their bachelor's degree increase their earning power throughout their careers, says Yohlunda Mosley Hill, Director of the Transfer Center and Services
“Madison College's University Transfer program offers clear pathways, reduces tuition costs, and facilitates timely entry into the workforce, enabling students to secure family-sustaining careers,” Mosley Hill says.
Tapsoba graduated in 2023 as an engineering pre-major from the University Transfer program and is one step away from achieving a Bachelor of Science at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, thanks to Madison College's transfer agreements that guarantee admission at the junior level to students who meet eligibility requirements.
Equipped with diplomas and certificates in hand, graduates are positioned for family-sustaining careers right away.
Ninety-one percent of 2024 graduates were employed before or shortly after graduation. "Most of our students are working in their chosen industry when they walk across the stage at commencement," says Randy Way, Associate Dean, School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). "We go to great lengths to ensure that our academic portfolio is relevant to the needs of industry and that our students are successfully employable upon graduation," Ray says.
And 87% of those who graduate remain in the 12-county region, powerfully supporting local communities and economies while achieving their goals and seizing new opportunities.
Madison College supports students' social and economic mobility with high-quality, flexible academic offerings that lead to meaningful careers and transfer opportunities.
