Join us for a Smart Start session for hands-on help through the college application and financial aid process. During a comprehensive session, you will be guided through the initial steps to help you become a Madison College student.

Choose the session and campus that works best for you. Advanced registration is required.

  • South Campus

    Get the help you need to get started at Madison College at a South Campus Smart Start session. 

    Advance registration is required. Seats are limited to 20 students each session. Lunch is provided to registered attendees. 

    South Campus Smart Start sessions take place Saturdays 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

    Be sure to:

    • Bring a photo ID
    • Have an official high school or college transcripts (if available)
    • Bring necessary documents to begin financial aid process 

    At each session you can expect to:

    • Take the Accuplacer placement exam
    • Briefly explore careers
    • Complete an application for free
    • Apply for financial aid

  • Watertown Campus

    Get hands-on help through the Madison Area Technical College application process at our Watertown Campus.

    Join us on Saturday, July 28 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

    Register now. Limited seats are available. Lunch will be provided.

    During this Smart Start session at the Watertown Campus, you'll be led through each step required to become a student:

    • Placement testing
    • Application preparation and completion (no application fee)
    • Career guidance
    • Financial aid assistance (application help)
    • Academic advising

    Be sure to bring a form of personal ID and your official high school or college transcripts (if applicable.)
