What's On Stage

Cabaret (1998 version)

Book by Joe Masteroff. Based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood. Music by John Kander. Lyrics by Fred Ebb.

As the 1920s draw to a close in Germany, Cabaret explores the dark, heady, and tumultuous lives of Berlin's natives and expatriates as the country slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich. Cliff, a young American writer, is immediately taken with English singer Sally Bowles. How can love survive as evil takes control?

Directed by Meghan Randolph
Music direction by Brandon Reda
Vocal direction by Lisa Erdman
Choreography by Kristin Rolling, (asst. Emma Bartholomew)
