Chat with Tony Award winner Karen Olivo

Madison College Performing Arts is sponsoring a free virtual chat with local theater artist and Broadway star Karen Olivo at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18.

Olivo will share her training, experience and perspective of how the pandemic has impacted her career and live theater. After addressing prepared questions from Madison College theater students, there will be a moderated Q&A session with the audience.

From 2016-17, Olivo played Angelica Schuyler in the Chicago production of Hamilton. In 2019, she originated the role of Satine in the stage adaptation of Moulin Rouge on Broadway, earning a nomination for the 2020 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical.
