Madison College's Esports team wins national championship

If you enjoy playing video games, then you might want to check out Madison College's new Esports team.

In its inaugural season, the college's Kaden Crockett was crowned the National Junior College Athletic Association Esports grand champion.

Crockett told Channel 27 (WKOW) "It's super cool that people I didn't even know paid attention, messaging me saying good job. I haven't talked to some of these people in a couple of years so it's kind of surreal that it's a big of a deal as it is."

The Esports team is currently getting ready for the spring season. The schedule is set to begin January 31 and run through April 10 - with postseason play running from April 17 through May 3.
