Student Showcase has something for everyone
What do an assistant professor, weightlifter and a DJ have in common? They're all keynote speakers for Madison College's Student Showcase. During the three-day virtual event, more than 90 students will highlight their academic and career experiences - while three keynote speakers showcase their amazing community work.
The presentations are recorded (except for Thursday's live event) and can be viewed each day beginning at 8 a.m. Here's the keynote speaker rundown:
TUESDAY, DEC. 1
Dr. Ngalula Sandrine Mubenga, assistant professor at the University of Toledo, recently assembled a remote team to design and build ventilators in response to the pandemic crisis in Congo.
WEDNESDAY, DEC. 2
Scholar, activist, weightlifter and hiker Amanda Gilliam is the creator of Big Girl Barbell - a fat-positive, body-positive Instagram community.
THURSDAY, DEC. 3:
