Student veterans honored by national publication

Two Madison College students are receiving "Student Veteran Leadership Awards" from G.I. Jobs magazine.

Brad Burt and Lorence Ayag (now at UW-Madison) are among 25 national student veterans honored by the magazine for making a positive difference at their school and in their communities.

“These 25 veterans are shining examples that military skills translate well to an academic setting," said Chris Hale, CEO OF VIQTORY®, the veteran-owned business which owns and operates G.I. Jobs. "I salute these student leaders for their selfless work in creating opportunity for their veteran brothers and sisters by advocating for the continued improvement of programs and services for military and veteran students."
