When Madison College student Nabil Hamdan saw plastic items piling up at local beaches, he wanted to do something about it. So he founded the World of Bamboo, in hopes of reducing the amount of plastic pollution on Earth.

On May 30, the 17-year-old Early College STEAM student will be featured on  “Project Pitch It!” - a Shark Tank-like TV show where entrepreneurs pitch their business plans and products to investors. The show will begin at 11 a.m. on Channel 27.

Nabil's "World of Bamboo" story was recently featured in Madison365, Capital Cities Hues and Madison Commons.
