The historic SpaceX mission is underway. It's the first crewed spaceflight to take off from U.S. soil in nearly a decade. NASA hopes the mission will serve as a litmus test for its push to partner more extensively with the private sector. 

 

Madison College astronomy instructor Dixie Burns recently did a live interview with Channel 3 (WISC-TV) to discuss why the flight is important.
