Dr. Tim Casper steps into interim president role in January 2025

The Madison College Board of Trustees has named Dr. Tim Casper interim president to succeed retiring President Jack E. Daniels III. Casper is currently Madison College's executive vice president of Student Affairs. 

The board made the appointment after voting to restart the presidential search. Board Chair Donald D. Dantzler, Jr. confirmed his confidence in Casper's leadership.

“The board is prioritizing continuity in leadership to successfully implement key initiatives and maintain a deep commitment to equity, access, and student success," Dantzler said. "Dr. Casper will continue the great work of this college: Madison College will be in capable hands during this leadership transition.”

Casper has served Madison College for nearly 14 years in various capacities. He has served as EVP of Student Affairs and also the leader of Institutional Effectiveness for the last four years. His responsibilities include overseeing and organizing comprehensive student development programs and leading collegewide initiatives that support student access, retention, and success.

Dr. Tim Casper will step into the Madison College interim president role starting January 2025.

He previously led the college’s public affairs and government relations activities and advised the president and board on annual operating and capital budgets. 

Prior to Madison College, Casper held positions at the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services, the Wisconsin Legislature, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Casper will assume the interim presidency of Madison College in January 2025.

Tina Ahedo, the vice president of Academic Affairs, Regional Campuses, and Educational Pathways, will serve as interim vice president of Student Affairs during the presidential leadership transition. 

The interim changes will take effect in January when President Daniels retires.
