Instructor discusses giant iceberg break in Antarctica

An iceberg larger than New York City has broken away from Antarctica. So what caused the break and what does it all mean for Planet Earth?

Madison College instructor Dr. Matthew Lazzara, who is a researcher with the Antarctic Meteorological Research Center, talked to Channel 3 about those questions.

He also discussed the college's new Antarctic Meteorology Project that involves a student keeping an eye on the iceberg.
