Madison College's High School Completion Recognition Ceremony on June 5 will honor 350 graduates who have successfully earned their high school diplomas through the college's GED and HSED programs.

Join us in celebrating students who exemplify the belief that it is never too late to achieve their educational goals, no matter the circumstances that may have delayed their journey.

Former Madison College High School Equivalency Program (HEP) graduate Rodrigo Carapia, the keynote speaker, will share his extraordinary experiences as an artist and activist.  Originally from Mexico City, Carapia has lived and worked in Madison for 15 years. He first began with street art, which allowed him to experiment with his art on a bigger scale. Carapia uses his work as a form of self-expression and resistance by offering art workshops in schools, juvenile shelters, and juvenile correctional centers, giving the youth a form of expression and a sense of freedom.

Madison College is dedicated to supporting people of all ages and backgrounds in preparing for and obtaining their High School Credentials (GED or HSED).

Madison College School of Academic Advancement provides several pathways for adult learners 18.5 and older to earn a high school credential. Program options include the opportunity to take the national General Education Development (GED) exams or to complete a High School Equivalency Diploma program (HSED). Students participating in the ceremony represent all areas of high school completion programming, including GED prep, 5.09 programming, compulsory law, jail education, foreign credentialing, and migrant and seasonal farm workers and their families. Programs are also available in Spanish.
