    Madison College and the Associate Degree Nursing program faculty value the education and experience you have obtained as a military medic.

    If you wish to advance your educational preparation to become a registered nurse, you may be eligible to apply to the Nursing Completion: Military Medic to Associate Degree Nursing program, which allows you to enter into the third semester of the Associate Degree Nursing program curriculum.

    You will be required to complete the appropriate Military Medic to RN Bridge courses prior to entering the third semester Associate Degree Nursing courses.

    Program Details

    Students in Military Medic to ADN program can attend full or part time.

    The most recent accreditation decision made by the ACEN Board of Commissioners for the Associate Degree nursing program is Continuing Accreditation. The Madison College Nursing (RN) program is approved by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.

    Career

    We prepare you to pass the national licensing exam (NCLEX-RN) to become a Registered Nurse.

    The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that employment of registered nurses is projected to grow 19% through 2022, faster than the average for all occupations.

    Our Associate Degree Nursing program graduates work for a range of employers throughout Wisconsin including Access Community Health Centers, Columbus Community Hospital, Mercy Health System, St. Clare Hospital & Health Services, VA Medical Center, Willows Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and more.  

    With additional education, Nursing program graduates may:

    • Transfer credits toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing

    • Attain a Master of Science in Nursing

Some of these courses are required to begin core nursing courses and others may be completed prior to the start of the program or by the end of the first year of the program.
