Blame it on the pandemic and the aging baby boomer workforce. Our country is in dire need of health care workers.

A new report from the Wisconsin Hospital Association says there are more than a million vacancies nationwide. But Madison College is hoping to help change that.

"Prior to the pandemic, we were receiving 900-950 applications a year and last year we received almost 1,500 applications for our nursing programs," Dean Kerri Kliminski told WKOW-TV. "Every one of our students who graduated in May had secured jobs already,"
