Madison College co-creates digital credential with MPI

Madison College is partnering with Meeting Professionals International to launch a new digital credential for MPI’s signature Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate (HMCC).

Designed for medical and health care meeting professionals and the partners, destinations and venues they work with, the HMCC offers a broad understanding of regulatory topics, laying competency groundwork upon which critical thinking skills are developed - through case studies, business simulation, discussion and active exercises.

“This digital credential will elevate and validate the knowledge of events industry community members who have successfully completed this rigorous course,” said Janet Sperstad, Madison College's director of Meeting and Event Management.

The intensive, four-hour program provides health care meeting compliance stakeholders with the knowledge and experience they need to successfully navigate the increasingly complex pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device regulatory environment.

“Digital credentials, also known as digital badges, have become popular among many different industry sectors as a way for designees to display their educational endeavors in a crisp and modern way,” said Nancy Snowden, MPI's manager of Curriculum and Instructional Design. “By partnering with Madison College, MPI can issue badges rich with meta-data that provide best-in-class functionality for users, as well as enhanced analytics to measure the success and reach of the HMCC program.”

Starting this year, every participant in an HMCC course will receive a digital credential to add to their email signature and professional profiles. All other designees will receive their digital credentials when they complete their biannual recertification.
