Madison College’s New Virtual Reality Class Is First-Of-Its-Kind

When most of us think about virtual reality, video games usually come to mind. But at Madison College, students are taking part in the first-ever virtual reality class in the country – and maybe even the world.

“Nobody seems to really have used VR as a way to deliver a regular class,” says Madison College marketing instructor Steve Noll. “So we can do a history class or a math class and the teacher can be up on the board writing math questions and the students are all in the same VR room.” Noll believes virtual reality will eventually become more immersed in higher education. He says it will specially be a benefit for students who have mobility issues.
