Who Doesn’t Need to Apply

The admission checklist does not apply to all students. If you are entering an apprenticeship, only taking classes or are an international student, please follow the corresponding link below.

  • Apprenticeships – Learn about which apprenticeships are available and the admission process for each one.
  • Nondegree Class Takers – There’s no need to apply if you’re taking a few courses. Simply register for classes to get started!
  • International Students – Students wishing to apply for, maintain, or transfer their F-1 student visa status to Madison College must complete the International Admission Process.

Admission Checklist

1. Choose Your Program

Select an associate degree, diploma or certificate that fits your career goals. Madison College offers more than 190 programs!

2. Review Admission Requirements

Visit your program's web page and check the Admission section for deadlines and required materials.

3. Complete the Online Application

First, create your student account and activate it through the confirmation email sent to you.

Once activated, use your student email address (username@madisoncollege.edu) to log in to your myMadisonCollege Portal. Select “Apply for Admission” to complete the application.

4. Submit Application Materials

Submit all items listed on the Admission section of your program web page by the deadline. Most programs require a completed high school transcript or equivalent. 

Many degree courses have placement requirements such as ACT scores, ACCUPLACER scores or previous college credits. These will not affect your admission to Madison College but must be submitted before enrolling in specific courses.

It can take 2–3 weeks to process a complete application. After your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email about your status.

If you are a new student, your Madison College email address will be activated when you are admitted to a program or registered for a class. You'll receive an email with information and guidelines for using this email.

5. Explore Your Student Account

Your student account (via the myMadisonCollege Portal) gives you access to class registration, your academic records, financial aid information and more.
