The Admission Checklist does not apply to some students. If you are entering an apprenticeship, are only taking classes, or are an international student, please follow the corresponding link below.

  • Apprenticeships have their own admission process. Learn about which apprenticeships are available and the admission process for each one.
  • Class Takers are students who are just taking a few classes, so there's no need to apply. Simply register for classes.
  • International students who wish to apply for or transfer their student visa (F-1, M-1 or J-1) to Madison College must complete the International Student Admission Application.

Follow the admission checklist below to learn how to apply to a program or certificate at Madison College. New Student Information Sessions are available to help you get started in the admission process, or visit Madison College.

Admission Checklist

To complete an associate degree, diploma or certificate application at MATC, follow the steps below:

  1. Choose Your Degree, Diploma or Certificate

Madison College offers more than 150 career programs! Start by choosing an associate degree, diploma or certificate that's right for you.

  2. Review Admission Requirements

Application deadlines, materials and requirements may differ by program, so check the Admission tab on your program web page.

  3. Complete the Online Application

Complete your online application. A $30 application fee for degree/diploma applications or a $15 fee for certificate applications is required at the time you submit your application. This fee is non-refundable.

Paper applications are available upon request at the Enrollment Center but require additional processing time.

  4. Submit Application Materials

Your application cannot be processed until you have submitted all of your application materials, which will be indicated under the Admission tab of your program web page. All materials must be submitted by the application deadline for that semester.

  5. Watch Your Mailbox

It takes four to six weeks to process a complete admission application. After your application has been reviewed, you will receive a letter in the mail outlining your application status, so make sure you keep your address up-to-date in your Student Center.

In the meantime, review the Start of Semester Checklist to help you prepare for your first day of classes at Madison College!
