Search | Menu As you work toward completing a program, you may have the opportunity to earn one or more additional credentials along the way.
Embedded programs are built into certain Madison College programs. As you complete courses in your program, you may also meet the requirements for an embedded program and earn its credential.
These credentials recognize important milestones in your education. They can strengthen your resume and help demonstrate your skills to employers before you complete your program.
Choosing Opt In or Opt Out
When you apply, you'll be asked to choose Opt In or Opt Out for embedded credentials.
Opt In
Choose Opt In if you'd like to earn embedded credentials.
- You'll earn the credential associated with an embedded program when you meet its requirements.
- You do not need to submit a separate application.
- Embedded programs will be added to your academic record when you are admitted to your program. For programs that use a waiting list or a pre-program/declaration process, embedded programs are added when you are admitted to the core program.
Opt Out
Choose Opt Out if you do not want to earn embedded credentials.
If you opt out and later change your mind, you'll need to apply to the embedded program. Curriculum and program requirements can change over time and may differ from when you initially applied. Opting in from the start keeps your requirements consistent.
